will langhorne and global fund for children visitors

Washington, DC - On Sunday, July 26, three young Hungarian boys had the chance to attend the Formula 1 Grand Prix race and watch the Porsche Supercup from a VIP box. They got to meet a real international race car driver and even walk down to the pit to see the car up close. An opportunity like this does not come along often for anyone, let alone these young boys.

The boys participate in programs run by the Tudor Foundation, a GFC grantee partner in Hungary that works with gifted youth who do not have the means to develop their abilities or continue their education past the primary years. Tudor’s workshops help children build self-confidence, gain critical-thinking skills, and begin to set goals and form aspirations for the future. These boys were the lucky recipients of a prize for winning a competition put together by the Tudor Foundation.

This special opportunity for the boys was set up by GFC’s new partner, Porsche Supercup and the Sanitec racing team. Will Langhorne, the team’s captain and driver from the United States, spent time walking through the Porsche Supercup paddock with the boys, talking about his life and inspiring them to dream big.

"The slogan of Barack Obama has become a worldwide call for hope as well as the dawning of a new era. A new team – powered by MRS-Racing – has formed around the USA-boy and his partner Luigi Ferrara."

Slick in the #7 brilliant red and white detailed Porsche, the 2009 Sanitec team is co-managed by William and supported by a dedicated German crew from MRS Racing.

We're getting our first glimpses of the newly painted car, and we like what we've seen in testing!
Best of luck for the upcoming season Will & Luigi!

PR: Will Langhorne again into the Top 10

Magny Cours. At the past weekend, the 5th course to the Porsche MOBIL1 Supercup in frame of the formula took place in the French Magny Cours-1 GP of France...

Olivier Maximin, #14: "I made error, which cost us valuable points. My debt, sorry for it. I even annoy me very most, my car ran perfectly and in running I everything correct made."

Will Langhorne, #15: "I am somewhat sadly because the good achievement by the team was not recompenced. The fourth place of Olivier would have done to the point account already well. I am natural happy over mean ninth rank, rain seem for me to really be appropriate. I look forward to Silverstone and hope to the good results to tie to be able."

Karsten Molitor, team head: "the decision of the sport commissioners is naturally very hard and meets the whole team. A milder judgement would have probably also been sufficient. However, we have to accept. For Will Langhorne makes happy it us naturally much, after his 10th rank in Monaco, now a ninth rank here in Magny Cours."

Straßenkampf

Monte Carlo.
